Our story

Hi, I’m Kristy, a co-founder of GoalSpot.

I’ve worked as an NDBI therapist, trainer, and centre manager for over 15 years and have seen the incredible impact that early intervention therapists using play-based, naturalistic teaching approaches—like ESDM and PRT—can have in supporting children’s learning and quality of life.

I also know the barriers therapists face, and unfortunately they seem to be the same barriers worldwide. Developing high-quality, individualised goals, tracking progress, and preparing reports takes time—time that could be spent working with children. And the cost of this admin adds up for families.

Yet, the only options therapists have had are pen and paper, hours spent manually graphing in Excel, or trying to force ABA-based apps to work for NDBI therapy, which they simply don’t.

We built GoalSpot to change this. It’s designed specifically for early intervention therapists using NDBI approaches. It makes it easier to write individualised goals with learning steps, collect interval data, track progress efficiently, and report on outcomes in a way that keeps us accountable and responsive to each child’s learning.

Most importantly, it saves therapists time—allowing more time with children and reducing costs for families.
